Nordic Youth Conference 2025

The Bahá'í Community of Norway has the pleasure of extending an invitation to youth from all backgrounds aged 15-30 and junior youth aged 11-14 to the Nordic Youth Conference of 2025. Youth from Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden are all welcome. There will also be some participants from other countries.

Start: Arrival April 11th
End: Departure April 21th
Venue: Galterud Skole (Solsvingen 80) in Drammen, neighborhood of Fjell
Who: Youth between 11 and 30 years old

The youth conference, like previous years, aims to give youth an opportunity to create a joyful and dynamic atmosphere imbued with the arts where they will explore and reflect, act and serve and learn together how to put peace into practice.

The backdrop for the Conference is a world ravaged by war and conflict. Nationalism, racism, selfishness, environmental destruction and a lack of hope and meaning are dominant features. Heartfelt concern prompts efforts of youth everywhere to find ways of offering hope in place of despair, unity in place of conflict.

At the Conference, we will examine and understand the current situation of the world, and explore how we can contribute significantly to building a more just, sustainable and prosperous future for all. Everyone can be a protagonist of social change and we will learn together how to put peace into practice.

The Conference offers a lot of arts; music, drama, dance and more which will give us joy, inspiration and many, many new friends!
